fuckyeahherpetology: Aspidites melanocephalus - Black-headed Python
This Australian species of python is superficially similar to the Woma Python (Aspidites ramsayi) except for it’s pitch black head and neck. Unlike the Woma Python, the Black-headed Python is not quite as common in the reptile trade and is often marketed upwards of a $1,000 (a good friend of mine breeds them :P). They also get significantly larger reaching 6-8ft while most Womas max at out 5ft.
